I booked Capital Cars for a trip to Heathrow, and the whole experience was fantastic. I am usually a bit anxious about getting to the airport on time, but the driver arrived a few minutes early, helped with my bags, and made the journey completely stress-free. The car was spotless and really comfortable, and the driver was incredibly kind and professional. It was my first time using them, and I’d definitely book again without hesitation.
I recently booked a taxi with Capital Cars and had the worst experience I’ve ever had with a taxi service.
For context, I’m a 24-year-old male who rarely takes taxis—I usually walk or use public transport whenever possible. However, due to a herniated disc, I’m currently in severe pain, on strong painkillers, and unable to walk long distances. I ordered a taxi to my workplace, and from the moment I got in, the driver was rude and unprofessional. He made passive-aggressive comments, raised his voice, and even shouted at me, complaining about the traffic—something entirely out of my control.
I explained my back condition, hoping to de-escalate the situation, but he continued to make snide remarks, acting as if I was inconveniencing him by simply using the service I was paying for. The worst part was when we arrived at my destination. He asked whether I wanted him to park on the left or right, and when I said left, he sarcastically responded, “Okay, I’ll park on the right,” then deliberately took a long detour to do so—all while blaming me for the traffic. Even with the knowledge of my medical condition and making me have to unnecessarily walk further to my workplace when that is incredibly difficult for me right now.
This entire experience was deeply uncomfortable, and I wouldn’t recommend Capital Cars to anyone. I will never use this service again
Came promptly and at short notice with a vehicle big enough to fit a non-folding bicycle in. (I had previously tried two other firms who didn't have vehicles large enough). Driver helped me to take the bicycle wheel off. I thought it was a bit expensive (so only four stars)– £40 for a five-mile journey, but it was a larger vehicle and from Pangbourne, so some way outside Reading. No complaints really.
unfortunately today's ride turned out to be a disaster. I have never returned home as frozen as today, despite the rain and wind outside, it was probably warmer than in a taxi. since we pay a lot of money for the ride, we deserve some conditions. no regards
Ordered a taxi and the guy on the phone said he'll be there in 15/20 minutes max. I check the taxi tracking app 20 minutes later and he was still 23 minutes away! This is a 10/15 minute trip then i ended up being late for an appointment. So i called back and he said the driver was 25 minutes away. Poor workmanship.
