    This company is a con - don’t use them! 1) I was quoted £70 return from camberley because it was after midnight. They were early and collected us at 23:37! 2) I called in advanced and asked for 2 further drop offs to a location in the middle of the pick up and drop off (basically en route to the final destination). I only had one postcode to quote so gave them that and told them about the other which was 3 minutes away. For one drop they quoted an extra £15 so £85. 3) On the final drop off they asked for £120!! An extra £35 for a 3 minute extra drive? 4) The driver claimed it was the cost per drop off and nothing to do with mileage? I called head office and they reduced it to £95. This company are mavericks and blatantly just making up numbers. 5) In the summer I ask for a quote to Henley high street. They gave it to me. They then asked if I was going to the festival and I said yes which then led to a £25 increase which I refused! DON’T use them!! This company is a con!

    Booked a week before which was confirmed. Taxi arrived on time. Was text to say taxi was on its way. The journey was satisfactory and got me there in time. Cost reasonable and driver polite and courteous. What more can you ask.

    The price they charged for a short journey in no traffic was nothing short of a robbery given the prices similar taxi services offer. The fact he even thought it was ok to suggest such a charge was extremely cheeky and knowingly about £5 higher than it should have been. Do not recommend at all.

    Recently had a Heathrow pick up booked & paid for in advance via the Loddon App, only to be told part way through the journey that we have to pay additional Heathrow parking fees despite no additional waiting time incurred by the driver & a "surcharge" due to being collected after 11pm although neither costs were advised prior to booking despite Loddon being aware of the journey details & collection time on booking. Driver stopped on motorway hard shoulder, now gone past midnight, arguing that we must pay additional charges otherwise will drop us back to Heathrow. Phoned the Loddon office and no apology, they just made excuses about a "glitch" in the App not informing of the additional fees, claimed we were text about additional fees but nothing was mentioned in the booking confirmation text. We ended up agreeing with the Loddon office to pay the Heathrow parking fee but not the surcharge, especially as they wouldn't specify what the surcharge amount is until pushed, which made it sound even more like a fabrication and them just pushing for additional charges. One star as eventually we were dropped home but awful experience with an argumentative driver, relieved I was in the car with my husband and not alone, especially at that time of night with him stopping aside the motorway. No apology from Loddon for his behaviour or for their quoting error, despite the fact we had paid in advance in full the amount they had quoted to be paid, only to then be subjected to a stressful journey that felt unsafe at points. Sent a complaint email 4 days ago & no reply received, clearly have zero interest in customer satisfaction, especially now they've been paid. Do not trust the prices quoted in their App & even if you have paid in advance, reconfirm the full charges with the driver in case they introduce previously undisclosed additional costs on the day like with us. Or alternatively, don't use Loddon, we won't be again.

    I start this by saying that I have used Loddon cars for many many years. As my only Reading Taxi / car service since 2019 and frequently prior to that time. It hasn't only been local... airport drop offs / collections and even used to take my wife in her wedding dress to marry me at Reading registry office in a nice Merc. A 5* service until just now. Let me explain... I called them just now. They just refused to take me to Reading train station at 7am tomorrow and the same again on Thursday. I need to travel after 9am to use them. Their prerogative I guess as they are an upmarket service. So, don't call if you wish to go to reading between 7am and 9am... hence a 3* now as this vastly limits how I use them.
